I grew up in Brea, CA; a town located in Northern Orange County, Southern California
On June 1, 2018, I graduated with honors from Servite High School; an all-boys, Catholic, college preparatory high school located in Anaheim, CA
Throughout high school, I was able to clock in over 100 hours of community service
I played one year of track & field, three years of lacrosse and four years of football
I participated in the Servite Men's Choir for three years, performing solos and charity events
I joined lacrosse during my sophomore year of high school
My senior year, I was awarded All-Trinity League and All-County
Playing lacrosse helped sculpt me into the young man that I am today
I was president of my school's Bulls and Bears Investment Club that had guest speakers, simulated stocks and bonds and taught the basics of finance
I was president of my school's Spanish Club which offered free Spanish tutoring to students, Spanish cultural activities, field trips, events, holidays, and created a social community with the other sister private schools in the area
I was president of my school's Catholic Club that hosted fundraisers, field trips to historical catholic locations, and reflected on our relationships with Christ
I was active within my school's campus ministry by helping at charity events, alter serving at my school's masses and preparing mass
I was a member of my school's activity committee which planned, advertised, set up, and executed all the school's dances, pep rallies, and significant school events
I was part of my school's Priory Program (somewhat like ASB) where I taught a UC approved elective class that taught morals, ethics, daily life skills, and leadership skills to a class of thirty sophomores
Words that I would describe myself as are...
Brother
Californian
Catholic
Student Athlete
Young Man
Charitable
Leader
Optimistic
Helpful
Compassionate
Persistent
I follow these four values instilled to me throughout high school
Primacy of Faith
Mastery of Self
Necessity of the Other
Centrality of Christ
I follow these because "Credo Ut Intelligam" which translate to "I believe because I understand"
I chose Dominican for its lacrosse program and its science department. After touring the school and meeting with a biochemistry student athlete, it was clear to me that my best opportunity to go to medical school was Dominican
Since I've moved to Dominican, I couldn't be happier! I feel like I'm off to college but still have the small class sizes, my close group of friends and community where everyone is positive and helpful
My freshmen year in the dorms, I had two phenomenal roommates who were both on the men's soccer team that are great friends of mine. My roommate Dylan has the same personality as I do, so we relate to pretty everything and even crack the same jokes at the time. My roommate Kyle grew up less than an hour from where I grew up, so we are both able to talk and reminisce about places and things back home
The top three factors that have shaped me into who I am today are family, school, and sports. My family helped supported me, taught me manners, and loved me throughout my whole life. My school taught me ethics and how to be a young man of Christ. My friends showed me how to dependable, honest, loyal and how to live a life of humility and charity
What I hope to get at my time at Dominican is a great college experience, an environment that will help me develop further who I am and the know knowledge and skills that I need to go on to work in the finance and accounting industry
